I look back on a fantastic adventure. I crossed the Atlantic in a pink rowing boat with three great women. It didn’t happen by itself. They say that the run-up to the journey is 80% of the work, and indeed it took a lot of time and effort to get everything done and be ready for the starting line.
There were two very intense years of preparation and, of course, the crossing itself. Two years in which all sorts of things came in our way. Obstacles, setbacks and bad luck, but also the most beautiful moments and lots of fun.
When we received the before and after photos from the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge organisation, I saw it clearly: four women, four stories. I wrote mine in a book. It’s based on my diary, the log, and many memories, laced here and there with fragments of the others.
